About Michael O’Donnell

Michael is a 26 year old living in Pennsylvania working remotely as a database specialist for a marketing company. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity in 2021 and a master’s degree in social data science in 2024. Throughout his studies and brief experiences in the industry, he has discovered that there is a real need for accessible technical literacy within and outside of the web. As web enabled computing technologies become more and more apart of life, many marginalized people get left behind in the digital divide which puts them further behind. This site looks to help bridge that divide by providing how-to and blog posts that are accessible for everyone and not specialized for people who already have technical experience. He hopes this site can be used by people without any or very little technical experience.

In his free time he enjoys hiking, reading/playing sci-fi/fantasy books/games, and spending time with his fiancée.

If you enjoy his work, please consider joining the site’s mailing list to stay up date on current posts here or supporting him financially here. If you would like to reach out to Michael directly, please contact him at surfinghyperlinks@gmail.com. He is always looking to interact with readers and other bloggers as he wants to make sure he includes as many perspectives as possible. You can also see the site’s YouTube channel here https://www.youtube.com/@surfinghyperlinks where he does how-to walk-throughs for those who prefer more visual learning.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Keep on surfing the web!
